The Youth Center offers after school programs, summer programs and open recreation. The facility is open 5 days each week for youth age 9 through 18. The facility offers programming for tweens (9-12 years old) and teens (13-18 years old). The after school program is a fee-based program where students can go after school. Children involved in this program have structured daily activities. Some of the events include cooking and life skills classes, day trips, crafts, contests, movie nights and much more.
Open recreation program is designed for tweens ages 9 to 12 years and teens ages 13 to 18 years. Tweens can become involved in the Torch Club, Youth Leadership Council, photography or fine arts competitions, lock-ins, specialty clubs, Junior Youth of the Year, Theater Arts Club, or various 4-H programs throughout the year.
The Open Recreation Program has over 200 current video games and six games consoles and TV's. Daily fitness, arts and crafts, leadership, and social recreation programs are offered. 8 computers with Internet access are also available for the Youth, plus a large screen TV with cable access.
Teens can explore various careers and earn college scholarship money through the Youth Employment Skills Program. They can participate in Community Service and learn valuable Leadership Skills as members of the Boys and Girls Club, Keystone Club, or have a voice for Air Force teens all around the world by becoming a member of the Air Force Teen Council, plus enjoy all the other programs that the center has to offer.
Families may submit a request for care by going to MilitaryChildCare.com. Create an account on the website, then search and request care for your child. Families can select one or more options when requesting care.
